Now I have this as a Wallpaper, I've noticed something thats bugging me. A pet peeve if you will. The statue, the Lion? Im going to call it a Lion. The Lion on the left is holding the ball by the step, cupping the ball as if to pull it away from the step.
The Lion on the right is also with a ball, but it appears to be pushing it away towards the step. Shouldn't it be pulling it the opposite direction?
Wow... this reminds me of "Spirted Away". Awesome work! I love all the little details - not just pretty things like lanturns and bells, but also the AC unit thing, the trash bag, and even the note on the fridge held up by tape. It makes it all real! I am now also reminded I want Foo Dogs, but every time I find some they're too expensive... Must. Start. Carving! *No money to buy materials - makes new plan to use a chunk of a felled oak tree from recent storm.*
Holy, exquisitely magnificent! This China Town is stunning and The Oriental Building looks incredible! The architecture, scenery, decor, statues, lanterns, Chinese writing, plant life, atmosphere, sky, textures, composition, concept, uniqueness, colors, lighting, style, and other details are also wonderful! Amazingly beautiful work!
I really appreciate the little touches of reality in what first appears to be a romanticized view - the power box, a/c, the boxes peeking out from behind the arched wall, the worn edges of the curb, the garbage, etc.
